Learn About Our Vessels

Fishing is on a choice of our deluxe 29’ Proline Center Console SS and two 24’ pangas (local fiberglass crafts). We limit the number of anglers on the Proline to four (4) and to two (2) on the pangas. All of our boats have newer outboard motor that have been carefully maintained and services. The boats have been selected to be the best for the type of fishing we have in Loreto and offer the best “stand up” fight you can get.

We generally use the pangas only for fly fishing and in-shore fishing to make sure that the anglers has plenty of room to cast and make their fly presentation. We will fish for bait in the morning before heading out but, when bait is scares, we may buy bait from the local suppliers. Captains Chino and Bill have been fishing the waters around Loreto for a long time and will work to get you the best opportunity to catch your limit. We primarily target Yellowtail - March to May and Dorado and Billfish - May to September. We will fish for the other in-shore species such as Roosterfish, Pargo (Snapper), Cabrilla (Sea Bass) and all the other in-shore species if the anglers want to try their hand at these. We do have one very strict policy. We do not kill billfish or roosterfish unless they are tail wrapped or injured and have a minimal chance of survival.

ProLine 29 Sport

The Proline 29 SS is a center console sport fishing boat selected specifically for the type of fishing that we have in the Sea of Cortez. The two most dominant species that we fish for are Yellowtail and Dorado. The center console design allows us to fish with 4 lines in the water. It is not unheard of for us to have 3 or 4 lines hooked up at the same time. The 9’ beam and 29’ length give each angler plenty of room, lets them follow the fish around the boat and allows us to land the fish as they come to the boat. These boats are powered by twin 225 HP Honda 4-stroke outboards. In our opinion, these are the most reliable motors and propel the boat at speeds up to 48 MPH. We are able to get out to the fish and have a longer fishing day because of the speed of these crafts. The boats are equipped with heads and salt and fresh water washdowns. Each craft is fitted with a GPS and “fish finders”.

We take great pride in the quality of the equipment on these boats. We have the finest rods and reels to give our anglers the best stand-up fight. We fight large Marlin and Sailfish and have had two or more lines hooked up with billfish at the same time. While the Blue and Black Marlin are solitary hunters, the Striped Marlin and Pacific Sailfish are pack hunters so the chances for a multiple hookup are good when we are in a large school of Dorado.

We perform all the factory recommended maintenance and make sure that the boats are in the best shape so that our anglers can concentrate upon fishing. The Proline has been thru a US Coast Guard Documentation and has all the required safety equipment on board.
